Fun for the Whole Family, Coming Back to Camp Namanu May 2019 !

Registration for 2019 Family Camp is open! Register below.

Saturday, May 25 – Monday, May 27

Did your child come home from camp and you felt a bit jealous that you didn’t get to go with them? We get it. Here is your chance to come to camp and build memories together!

Come and row boats in the duck pond, climb the rock wall, and cook s’mores around the fire while you gaze in awe at the 200-year-old Douglas Fir trees surrounding camp. Don’t worry, though: if you want to just relax and enjoy the natural beauty of camp you can always grab a book, sit on the banks of the river and breath the fresh mountain air.

Saturday’s check-in begins at 10:30 am with a buffet lunch at 12:15 pm for the first scheduled activity of the weekend.

Check-out time on Monday afternoon is unspecified so families can enjoy the camp setting as long as they want. Our last scheduled activity will be lunch at 12:15 pm.

Families can participate in some or all of the scheduled events, or hang out on their own.

How are cabins assigned?

Camp Namanu is dedicated to building healthy relationships and communities. One way we build community is by sharing living spaces; bringing families together in cabins. Most cabins sleep 14 people. We assign 2-4 families per cabin, depending on family size. Families are welcome to request to be paired with another family, or in a particular unit, and we will do our best to meet each request. We encourage families to meet cabin mates with an open mind and welcoming spirit!

Cabins at Namanu are equipped with twin bunk beds with restrooms nearby, if not inside the cabin. You will receive your cabin assignment one week prior to your family camp session.

All meals at Camp Namanu are served family-style and are included in the Family Camp experience. We try hard to accommodate all special dietary restrictions.

Kids at Family Camp

It is expected that kids are supervised by the adult that brings them. There will be special programming during the day for the kids as well as opportunities for adults to sign up and relive special camp memories for a couple of hours in the evenings.
