“Macko” in NYC

Each year we are so fortunate to have such an awesome Summer Staff at Camp Namanu. We have counselors from all over the US as well as many international counselors from all over the world! Our campers, staff, and alumni – even those who are local to the Portland area, also get out the map and see the sites, and the world, too.

One option that some of our international counselors take is to travel across the US for a few weeks after Camp wraps up.

Some of our staff have kept in touch post-summer, and we’ve received some photos of them out in the world.

“Pan” in DC

Including Sherwood Unit Director “Macko,” pictured above in NYC! He is from Northern Ireland, and just completed his first year with us at Namanu. Go “Macko”!
Next, we have “Pan” in Washington, D.C. wearing his Camp Namanu staff t-shirt!

“Pan” was a Balagan counselor this past summer. He is originally from the UK, and has already visited LA, Miami, and New York City before hitting DC.

“Cactus” with a cactus in Arizona

We also have Pioneer Unit Director “Cactus” standing next to a cactus in South Mountain Phoenix. “Cactus” just completed her 2nd year with us at Camp Namanu, and is from Arizona.

We want to see more of our Namanu Travelers in the world!

Do you have a photo of you or others wearing your Camp Namanu t-shirt, hoodie, or other swag while traveling across the world? Send them to our Communications Manager, Joe LeBlanc, via email, and we’ll share them on the Camp Namanu Facebook page.
