Outpost programming at Camp Namanu will resume in 2022
Outpost is a special unit for campers that are excited to learn the art of backpacking and hike to the farthest edges of camp. Before heading out into the Namanu forest, Outpost campers will experience our dynamic challenge course, learn how to pack their backpacking bag, and sleep in the Balagan tree houses. From there, Outpost will head out on a multiday camping trip where campers and staff will work together to set up tents, utilize their surroundings, and cook in the outdoors. Outpost campers will also get the opportunity to go offsite for our rafting adventure day trip. Spaces are very limited as there will only be 2 sessions of Outpost offered this summer.

Pioneer campers awaken to the calming rush of the nearby Sandy River in three-sided cabins. The Pioneer unit gives campers the opportunity to work together while planning a week filled with invigorating camp activities such as learning outdoor skills, taking aim at archery, getting creative with arts & crafts, or reaching new heights on the climbing tower. 8th and 9th graders are encouraged to take on more leadership roles in their cabin groups and may choose to do an extended hike, challenge themselves on the ropes course, or learn advanced outdoor skills. Pioneer campers have the option to sign up for an Adventure Day activity for an additional fee.
